As you know, we have nearly one week to stay at home to reunite with our families, visit our relatives, or pick buds on the first days of the Lunar Year. I truly believe that you have many stories with your loved ones during the most important ceremony of the year.

DeleteDuring Tet, my house has apricot trees, peach trees and kumquat trees. On the night of the 30th, I can watch fireworks display.On the morning of the 1st, I went to wish my grandparents happy new year.

DeleteI will tell you how to make chung cake
Delete- First we place all the ingredients are glutinous rice, pork meat, green beans and we can't forgot the important thing are these banana leaves and the dong leaves to hold the cake.
- Next we put all the ingredients inside the banana leaves and tie dong leaves to make it sturdy.
- Then we put chung cake into a big saucepan and wait for about 8-10 minutes and take it out from the saucepan.
- The last we cut it with the dong leaves and then we eat banh chung with our family
I helped my mom with housework during Tet holiday. For example, I did the cleaning, arranged the dishes, clothes and many other things. The thing I liked most was preparing materials for cooking meals at Tet. Making 'chả nem' was my favourite because it was my first time to do it and the dish was delicious.

ReplyDeleteI went to Minh Sushi restaurant and ate there. There are delicious food there like cheese roll, seaweed salad and more. We ordered much but it's cheap. Only 922.000 Vietnamese money. Tet is so fun.

ReplyDeleteOn Wednesday afternoon, my parents and I returned to our hometown in Phu Tho to visit my grandparents and celebrate Tet. When I arrived, the joyful Tet atmosphere as well as the laughter of the neighborhood children made me very excited about this Tet holiday.My grandparents and parents cooked delicious, flavorful dishes for me during Tet.I hope next year's Tet will be even more fun.

Even though I haven't made banh chung yet, I still know some of the ingredients for banh chung, but those ingredients are: beans, meat, sticky rice, and seaweed leaves. And I feel that banh chung is very delicious.

At New year eve moment we watching firewar on the TV and give whising to everyone. On the 1st of the year of VietNamese celander we went to pagoda to pray for a lucky year.

My family lives far away from home, so every year when Tet comes, my whole family prepares things to go home to celebrate Tet with my grandparents. The atmosphere on Tet holidays is always extremely crowded and bustling. The days before Tet, everyone in the family tries to clean the house beautifully. My father and I went to the market to buy the most beautiful peach branches to put in front of the house and a smaller branch to put on the altar. I also received a lot of lucky money and didn't even open it.

ReplyDeleteOn the 30th day of Tet, in the morning, we helped parents to do housework and burned incense to comfort the old man. At lunch, we had the end of year party, there’re many delicious food on the table such as chung cake, noodle... At 8 p.m, we watched Tao Quan show, it’s so funny. At 12 p.m, we watched fireworks, they are so beautiful. Finally, we bought a bag of salt.
On the first day of Tet, in the morning, we went to our grandparents’ house to join the party and got lucky money. Then, we went to pagodas to wish luck.
On the second day of Tet, we went to our hometown, met our cousins and relatives.
So, that’s long already. I wish you a new year with a lot of happiness and laughter.
This Tet year I have done a lot to help people, now let me tell you! On the night of the 30th, my parents took me to see fireworks, then went out on New Year's Eve. The next morning, I returned to my hometown to wrap banh chung to wish everyone a new year. I received lucky money and received loving words from relatives. For me, Tet is my favorite holiday because it helps the family bond and go to other places. Finally, I wish everyone a healthy, peaceful and prosperous new year !!!

Every day, my mom wake up early in the moring and cook many delicous food for my family. In New Year Eve, we got a lot of delicous food and we watched some beautiful fireworks toghether. ReplyDeleteOn the 30th of Tet, my family and I went to watch fireworks at the lakeside. Although it was a bit crowded, the fireworks were very wonderfull and lasted up to 15 minutes. After that, I went home and saw my neighbors some more small fireworks. Then we just went to sleep. On the morning of the 1st, my whole family had breakfast and went to the temple to worship our relatives. I really like Tet

ReplyDeleteWhen we are ready to go to our hometown, it was really busy for us! We packed our things for half an hour since there are so much stuff. After we arrived to our hometown, it was raining. At the midnight of 30th of Tet, we watched a firework show, there were many types of fireworks: like the ones fired at the ground, one fired up the sky. People always stay in their houses, so they can watch fireworks at a beautiful view. At the last day, which is the 5th of Tet, we got home, and ready for school. It was such fun that I would never forget it! (ho duy minh 5D)

ReplyDeleteTet is very fun because I get to meet many family members. Every house prepares to celebrate Tet very early. My grandparents' family wrapped many banh chung, bought many delicious candies such as candy corn, chocolate, etc. I received a lot of lucky money. I do not forget to wish my grandparents good health and long life. Tet is so fun!
This Tet I help my parents for Tet and visit my grandparents. I visit a lot of place have lucky money. I do like have lucky money.

I went to my grandparents house to celebrate the lunar new year with everybody i saw fireworks(they were amazing) i even get to light fireworks but i was to scared so my sister helped me light them and it was beautiful as flowers because they came in different colors like blue,yellow,green,... i was amazed when i saw them it was gonna be a great new year celebration with the whole family. I got alot of lucky money and i was really greatfull for the lucky money i got i put all of my lucky money in a small red bag and the red bag is carring alot of money. we played lots of games together like cards for money and many more i was upset that we only celebrate for a short time. my favorite part was to decorate the blossom tree it look really pretty when i was done decorating it. I hope that next lunar new year will just be like this new year celebration. :)

Before Tet, I clean their house and decorate it with flowers and trees such as a kumquat tree or peach blossom. I also prepare some traditional dishes such as Banh Chung, Gio cha, Banh Tet, Xoi Mut,… During Tet, families gather together to feast, exchange gifts, and participate in traditional customs such as visiting ancestral graves and participating in dragon and lion dances. My family also come and join the association with everyone too! Especially, for us, we look forward to Tet holiday because they can receive lucky money from adults as a way to give them wishes for the new year. It was a happy tet holiday!
